Sa gitna ng pagdiriwang ng Year One, nag-anunsyo ang Riot Games na kinukunsidera nilang mag-explore ng bagong platform sa pag-develop ng Valorant Mobile.
Sa isang panayam sa ONE Esports, ibinahagi ng Riot General Manager na si Justin Hulog ang posibilidad na unang lumabas ang bagong version sa Southeast Asia (SEA), at kung gaano na kalayo ang narrating ng Valorant mula nang una itong ilabas.

“In many ways, it does make sense to potentially go out in Southeast Asia first,” sabi ni Hulog. “But there are also unique challenges and very high expectations for how a game should perform on mobile. That could mean that we may look at other regions that are less demanding first.”
“Valorant Mobile is going to have a really big focus in Southeast Asia just because of the fact that it is a mobile-first region,” patuloy ni Hulog sa kung bakit mabuting mabuting huwag agad ilabas ito sa SEA.
“But whether it comes first is a question that we need to weigh. One of the nice things about not going first is that it gives us time to work out the bugs.”

“Our most recent milestone is hitting the one-year anniversary, and getting to a point where we have a large and stable playerbase,” sabi ni Hulong. “We’ve seen 14 million active PC players and half a billion games played in the first year.”
At dahil dito, mas madaling makakahatak ng mas maraming players ang Valorant Mobile dahil sa pagiging accessible ng bagong platform.
Nabanggit din ni Hulog na hindi sy sigurado sa kung paano tatanggapin ng mga tao sa rehiyon ang Valorant noong unang ilabas ito sa Southeast Asia.
Isa ito sa mga dahilan kung bakit itinuturing nyang isang achievement ang pagkatawan ng X10 Esports sa VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik. “The viewership that we’ve seen there is promising enough to make me start thinking about how we can make bigger investments in esports within the region.”
Ang paglabas ng Valorant Mobile sa Southeast Asia ay nangangahulugan ng pagsibol ng bagong esports ecosystem sa rehiyon.
